CURRENT PROJECTS
- We are currently developing the safety education part of our website so that it is interactive and can be used by teachers throughout the UK to teach children from the ages of 4-19 about the grammar of safety signs.
- The HSSA are participating in the progression of a British Standard entitled "The Use of Safety Signs in Educational Materials" to ensure that the way that the grammar of safety signs is taught to children is of the highest standard possible.
- Our continued representation at both British and International Standards Committees concerned with the development of graphical symbol and safety sign standards worldwide keeps us at the forefront of industry advancements.
- A new HSSA Code of Practice is underway which will include all the latest scientific and industry knowledge. The code will ultimately provide new information on the following:
- Regulations/standards.
- The application and use of safety signs.
- Viewing distances and sizes.
- Durability of safety signs.
- Safety way guidance systems.
- Escape plans.
- Product safety labels.
- Regulations/standards.
- The HSSA has an active and on-going marketing campaign to attract new support and expand membership.
